So this time round in Jakarta.. it was the same thing...
Went to a local shopping mall...
How local?...
Look at the last pic...
The cleanliness level is not for the faint-hearted.. to put it mildly...

Jakarta Satay

Tried Jakarta's Satay... meat was more chunky... but I think the sauce is not as nice as what we have in Singapore... 

None of the peanut thick gravy..  

and Satay sauce plays a big part like we know..

Jakarta Ayam Penyet

Ayam penyet... last piece of Chicken left..

which may explain the pathetic size of the chicken..

Again.. nothing to shout about...

Jakarta local food

Good experience overall...

But probably not the best representation of Jakarta's local food...

Maybe another time if there's a chance to visit again...
