With a word like "Gum", I was expecting the texture of the hair product to be more like hair wax.

It is not.

In fact it is quite watery, even more so than normal hair gel.

Not very used to it as I have been using hair wax for quite a while.

The shine is a bit too much for my liking as well but again this could be due to the fact that I am used to hair wax. It is very much a personal preference so it will work wonders for you if you like the "wet-hair" look.

Easy wash off energy gum. Created with "easy wash off" formula, it delivers on this count. Which is a super plus-point as some other hair products doesn't feel like it is washed off even after two washes.

It is a bit conflicting on the holding power part though. It holds well when used. However, it doesn't work if I want to spike my hair. It may not be so suitable if you like your hair short and spiky. If you like your hair down or with parting (does anybody still do that?!) this could be perfect for you.

However if I want to go for my super cool nerd (or super goondu) look... such as below.. it works perfectly...
